Nikki M. Harada
Nikki M. Harada is a Costume Technician and Designer. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Design and Technology, along with a minor in Art and Design, from the University of Northern Colorado in May 2022. In fall 2023, she began pursuing her MFA in Costume Technology at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
During her time at UNCSA, she made her opera design debut with Lo frate ’nnamorato (2024). She has also worked as a film tailor on the student films Auras (2024) and Braid Crowns (2024), and served as a first hand on Charlie Girl (2024) and The Last Peaceful Year (2024).
In summer 2024, Nikki joined the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival as a Cutter/Draper, where she strengthened her draping skills, led an unfamiliar team, and gained valuable experience in the fast-paced environment of summer stock theatre.
Recent work at UNCSA includes serving as a Draper for Choir Boy (2025), A Little Night Music (2025), Idomeneo (2025), and two of the three spring 2026 repertory productions: The Cherry Orchard (2025) and Troilus and Cressida (2025). She is enthusiastic about continuing her training at UNCSA as both a Draper and Costume Shop Manager.
Nikki hopes to pursue her career on the East Coast and plans to relocate to Jersey to work within the state and its’ surrounding regions.
